The short answer

CalStack and Calendly both book meetings from a link or a widget on your website. CalStack is built for teams that qualify leads before the call and run their calls in Google Meet: it asks your questions first, preps each call with AI, and costs one flat price for up to 15 seats. Calendly is the better fit if you need Outlook, Zoom or Microsoft Teams, payments at booking, or a built-in CRM sync.

Choose CalStack if

  • Leads should answer your questions before they see your calendar, on every plan.
  • Your team runs its calls in Google Meet and wants prep and notes beside the call.
  • You'd rather pay one price for up to 15 seats than pay for every seat.
  • You want to see where booking page visitors come from, not only who booked.

Choose Calendly if

  • Your team uses Outlook, Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
  • You want calls recorded and transcribed.
  • You need reminders, payments, or a built-in Salesforce or HubSpot sync.
  • Your booking page has to be in a language other than English.

Where CalStack is different

A widget that gives visitors a reason to book

The floating widget rotates short messages you write, so visitors see why to book before they click.

Questions come before the calendar

Every booking page starts with your qualifying questions, on the Free plan too. CalStack can draft them from a short description of who you want to meet.

Prep and notes inside Google Meet

A side panel in Google Meet shows the lead's answers and your AI talking points. Tag the outcome and take notes without leaving the call.

Analytics from the first visit

See visits, referrers, UTM campaigns, countries and devices for each booking page, next to the bookings they turned into.

When to choose Calendly instead

  • Any calendar and video tool. Calendly connects Outlook, Microsoft 365 and Exchange as well as Google, and adds Zoom, Teams, Webex or GoTo links. CalStack works with Google Calendar and Google Meet only.
  • Calls recorded for you. On the Plus plans, Calendly's Notetaker joins Zoom, Meet and Teams calls and returns a recording, a transcript and a recap. CalStack writes its recap from the notes you type.
  • Reminders and payments. Calendly's workflows send reminders before the call, and it can take payment through Stripe or PayPal at booking. CalStack does neither yet.
  • Built-in CRM sync. Calendly syncs with HubSpot on Standard and with Salesforce on Teams. CalStack reaches a CRM through Zapier, n8n or a webhook.
  • Booking pages in other languages. Calendly translates booking pages and notifications into seven languages. CalStack's booking pages are in English.

Switching from Calendly

  1. Connect Google Calendar

Each host connects their own Google Calendar. CalStack checks it for conflicts and adds a Meet link to every booking.

  2. Rebuild your questions

Add your Calendly invitee questions to a booking page, or describe your ideal lead and let CalStack draft them.

  3. Add the widget

Paste one script tag to show the floating widget, and use the booking page link wherever you shared your Calendly link.

Questions and answers

Is CalStack a good Calendly alternative?
Yes, if your team runs its calls in Google Meet and wants to qualify leads before they book. If you rely on Outlook, Zoom or Microsoft Teams, Calendly is the better fit today.
Is CalStack cheaper than Calendly?
For teams of three or more, yes. CalStack's Team plan is $47 a month billed yearly for up to 15 seats. Calendly's Teams plan is $16 a seat a month billed yearly, so 10 seats cost $160 a month. For one or two people, Calendly's per-seat price is lower, and both have a free plan.
Do I need a paid plan to ask qualifying questions?
No. Questions before the calendar are on every CalStack plan, Free included. Sending leads to different hosts based on their answers needs the Team plan. On Calendly, routing forms need the Teams plan.
Does CalStack work with Outlook or Zoom?
Not yet. CalStack works with Google Calendar and Google Meet only. Calendly supports Outlook, Microsoft 365 and Exchange calendars, and Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex and GoTo links.
Does CalStack record calls?
No. CalStack writes its recap from the notes you type during or after the call, and nothing is recorded or transcribed. Calendly's Notetaker, on its Plus plans, records the call and writes a recap from the transcript.
Can I import my Calendly event types?
There is no importer. You set up each booking page again in CalStack: pick the hosts, the meeting length and the hours, then add your questions.
