The short answer

CalStack and Acuity Scheduling both put a booking page on your website. Acuity is built for client appointments: it takes payment through Stripe, Square or PayPal, sells packages and memberships, and sends text reminders. CalStack is built for sales and discovery calls: it asks your qualifying questions first, routes leads to the right host, and preps each call with AI inside Google Meet.

Choose CalStack if

  • You book sales or discovery calls, not paid appointments.
  • Leads should go to the right host, a message or a page based on their answers.
  • Your team runs its calls in Google Meet and wants prep and notes beside the call.
  • You want a free plan to start with.

Choose Acuity Scheduling if

  • Clients pay when they book, or buy packages, memberships or gift certificates.
  • You want text reminders before each appointment.
  • You need a HIPAA business associate agreement.
  • Your team uses Outlook or iCloud calendars, or Zoom.

Where CalStack is different

Questions come before the calendar

Every booking page starts with your qualifying questions, on the Free plan too. CalStack can draft them from a short description of who you want to meet.

Prep and notes inside Google Meet

A side panel in Google Meet shows the lead's answers and your AI talking points. Tag the outcome and take notes without leaving the call.

Analytics from the first visit

See visits, referrers, UTM campaigns, countries and devices for each booking page, next to the bookings they turned into.

  • Text reminders. From the Standard plan, Acuity sends text reminders before appointments. CalStack sends no reminders yet.
  • HIPAA. The Premium plan includes a HIPAA business associate agreement.
  • More calendars. Acuity syncs with Google, Outlook, Exchange and iCloud calendars. CalStack works with Google Calendar only.

Switching from Acuity Scheduling

  1. Connect Google Calendar

Each host connects their own Google Calendar. CalStack checks it for conflicts and adds a Meet link to every booking.

  2. Move your intake form

Add your intake form questions to a booking page, where leads answer them before they pick a time.

  3. Add the widget

Paste one script tag to show the floating widget, and use the booking page link wherever you shared your Acuity link.
